5 Kapitel lang tauchen wir ein, in das Leben einer echten Pariserin. Sie erzählt uns alle ihre Geheimnisse. Egal ob es sich dabei um die perfekten Basics im Kleiderschrank, Liebeskummer, den idealen Mann, ihre Girls-Gang, Filmtips, die besten Adressen in Paris, Rezepte für eine typisch französische Dinner Party, Beauty-Tips, After-Sex Lunch oder Interior geht. 

Hier nur einige davon:

- Find "your" perfume before you turn thirty. Wear it for the next thirty years. 

- Not too much makeup, too many colours, too many accessories ...

- Always be fuckable: when standing in line at the bakery on a Sunday morning, buying champagne in the middle of the night or even picking the kids up from school. You never know. 

- You don't have to spend a decade's worth of salary on your wardrobe, or flaunt designer brands the whole time. All you need is one signature item: the one you wear when you need to feel strong. 

- Do not dry your hair with a hair dryer (...) but instead use two much more environmentally friendly resources: fresh air in summer and a towel in winter. Whenever possible, wash your hair in the evening rather than in the morning, so as not to leave the house with wet hair.

- Skin should look natural. Frenchwomen avoid using foundation, which merely serves as a shroud and therefore trivializes. 

- Whenever she gets pulled over, the Parisienne starts to cry, before even handing over her licence and registration. 

- When it comes to kissing, the Parisienne does it the same way she does everything else: with cinematic flair. Preferably, all kissing should take place in the middle of the street. 

- Like Coco Chanel, do your utmost to avoid dinners with more than six guests around the table. In Paris, an evening often starts with a bottle of champagne, served with ice. 

- The trick lies not in being a gourmet chef, but rather mastering a couple of recipes perfectly. One of them should be easy so that you can rustle it up at the last minute. The other should be very complicated, to wow your friends. 

- Don't follow trends. (Trends follow you)

- Parisian women never try to appear to be something other than what they are. In truth, more than wanting to look young - which is but a fleeting illusion - they want above all to become the best possible version of themselves, outside and in, at any age. 

- Without her girls gang, the Parisienne is incomplete. 

- Drink at least one glass of red wine between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. 

- Treat yourself to some flowers to brighten up your apartment. 

- The ABC's of cheating: Rule number one: DENY, DENY, DENY.

- To give your hair that extra shine, use half a cup of white wine vinegar - simply pour it over your hair and rinse. 

- Once a week, brush your teeth with baking soda - it's a natural whitener. 

Ich habe HOW TO BE PARISIAN WHEREVER YOU ARE an einem Wochenende verschlungen und mir stilecht Sonntag Abends gleich einen Truffaut Film angeschaut. Selten hat mich ein Buch so in seinen Bann gezogen, mich mitgenommen auf eine Reise und träumen lassen, eine echte Pariserin zu sein bzw. sein zu können. Ein liebevolles, kluges, lustiges, interessantes und charmant-französisches Buch, das jede Frau zu Hause haben sollte!
